How long is the rope?

The rope of OVR Velocity is approximately 10 feet or 3 meters. Do not fully extend the rope.

Is OVR Velocity accurate?

What is the devices sampling rate?

The device samples at 100Hz (once every 0.01s) to ensure a high level of accuracy.

Does it need to be reset in between athletes or exercises?

No – there is no resetting needed when interchanging exercises or athletes. The device will record any concentric motion of any exercise, with no calibration needed.

Should I use average or peak velocity?

Average velocity is best for strength-focused lifts, as it measures overall performance during the movement. Peak velocity is ideal for explosive movements, where the focus is on the fastest point of the lift.

How does the rest timer work?

Device is measuring power cleans as two reps

If you are doing power cleans with OVR Velocity, we recommend adjusting the minimum ROM to filter out the second concentric motion. For instance, if this was set to 18", the device will only record motions over 18".

Does the inputted weight affect accuracy?

No, the weight inputted will only affect the power output reading. All velocity readings will not be affected by the weight. If you aren't worried about power readings, you do not need to adjust the weight on the device when changing weights.
