What is tether mode?Updated 2 months ago

Tether mode allows you to extended the laser barrier to ensure an athlete never jumps outside the range of the 18" receiver.

Follow the instructions below to use multiple OVR Jump's to achieve 36", 48", or even more width!

  1. Turn on at least two OVR Jump receivers and navigate to the settings (hold both buttons for about one second).
  2. On one receiver (home device):
    1. Change the "Tether" setting to "Home"
    2. Note the channel it is on
    3. Exit the settings (device will reset in home mode)
  3. On another receiver (link device):
    1. Change the "Tether" setting to "Link"
    2. Ensure the channel matches the home device
    3. Exit the settings (device will reset in link mode)
    4. Repeat these steps for additional tethered bars
  4. Set up receivers side to side with hidden magnets in the end caps
  5. Pull the sender (short bar) far enough away to reach all tethered receivers (green LEDs).

  • Only one sender should be used. Place the sender further away for tethered setups.
  • For multiple tethered setups in one area, ensure the channels for each setup are unique.
  • Only the home unit can connect to the app, control all settings etc. 
  • The linked unit will show a checkmark or X in the bottom right corner to confirm if it is connected to a home device
