How is 1RM calculated?Updated 2 months ago
The estimated 1RM with OVR Velocity will show on the past data screen for squat / deadlift / bench press exercises.
It will use your best velocity at each weight recorded, and needs at least 3 weights to begin estimating. A trend line will be calculated, finding the weight of your slowed possible rep (minimum velocity threshold).
If the e1RM seems inaccurate, it may be due to the following:
- Minimal data saved in exercise
- Some of the weights best velocities were not maximal intent
- If your e1RM is lower than an actual rep completed, this may indicate you achieved a rep slower than the estimate MVT
Note your MVT will be estimated based on the lifter experience setting on the profile tab.
